My Story

Like many people, I recently decided to make a conscious effort to cut down on my plastic waste – the simplest way to start was to ditch the liquid hand soaps and shower gels. I also started to read the labelling on cosmetic products more carefully and realised how many unnecessary and possibly harmful ingredients are added to the majority of mass-produced products.

I had a go at making my own soap and quickly became obsessed! Family and friends became willing guinea pigs for my soapy experiments, and very soon Snow Goose Soap was born.

The name comes from a much-loved little book, The Snow Goose, by Paul Gallico – the first book given to me by my husband.

All Snow Goose soaps are handmade with love and care in my own kitchen in The Lake District. Every soap is made from scratch and handcrafted in small batches, creating beautiful natural soaps for you to enjoy.
